TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Entries will be reviewed by the selection committee. Images of poor quality and/or likely to cause offence will not be accepted for exhibition.
Entrants certify that the images they submit are their own work.
Entrants grant the Organisers (Cartmel Fell Volunteers) a copyright for the production of scaled copies of their entry for public exhibition.
Successful entrants to the “Calendar competition” grant a further copyright to the Organisers for the production of a limited number, not exceeding 1000, of their images bound in the form of a calendar for the year commencing 1st January 2026. The opinions of the selection committee and the calendar competition judges panel will be final.
Proceeds of the sale of calendars will support the work of the Cartmel Fell Volunteers.
Upon closure of the exhibition the “hard” display copies may be collected from the Organisers.
RULES
The Theme: “Living on the Fell”: We wish to capture all aspects of life and the lived experience on Cartmel Fell from the every-day to the unusual. Work and leisure, events and celebrations, domestic and public, flora and fauna, views and scenery, weather and the night sky. In other words, almost anything we might see on or from Cartmel Fell.
The Location: We have taken a broad geographical definition for the “Fell” which encompasses Cartmel Fell, Newton Fell and Gummers How. The subject matter and or the view-point must lie within this area. (SEE THE REPRESENTATIVE MAP)
Date of the Photograph: Recent. Your photo must have been taken on or after 1st September 2024 and be submitted for consideration on or before 1st September 2025.
Competition Entry Fee: We make small non-refundable entry fee of £3.00 to cover the costs of reproduction of prints and exhibition.
